Our picks from the Paris Motor Show

Kia Rio

Along with the i10, this is another popular Korean city car that has gained itself an image as an older or sensible person’s choice and the new model unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show will only be available as a 5-door. Kia’s trademark ‘Tiger-nose’ grille is sharper and thinner, and sweeping LED lights have been added to the front. The updated infotainment screen now ‘floats’ above the dashboard, and live traffic, weather and other alerts are a key selling feature on this car that once again will be Apple and Android compatible. Park assist and autonomous emergency braking (AEB) will be available as options, and anyone feeling feisty can choose the Red Pack, which means black leather with splashes of red trim.
