Our picks from the Paris Motor Show

Nissan Micra

Apologies to anyone who owns one, but the four previous versions of this little Nissan weren’t exactly exciting. The new one, though, looks fantastic, edgy, futuristic and desirable, getting it off to a good start. It’s claimed that it will handle really athletically, too – a first for a Micra. Aiming to steal sales from the Ford Fiesta, which always tops the class each year, the new model is set to have a roomy and sporty interior. It’ll feature the same kind of tech as the other cars we’ve picked out, but will also have pedestrian detection, Nissan’s 360-degree Around View Monitor, and an optional Bose sound system for music-lovers.
